Nanak ji says that that there is just "1" amrit, no other amrit exits. The outer 36 amrits are a brahmanical creation, they are made up of maya & are consumed by the body (maya). The 'Soul' can consumes only '1' amrit, i.e. 'Naam Amrit'. Once can drink as well as eat this Amrit: "Jin ko lagi piyaas amrit seyi Khahen. (Page 962). This can be eaten when thirsty & drunk when hungry, because it is neither an edible of potable substance. The edible & potable ones are the 36. When made a big mistake when we started calling 'Pahul' as Amrit. Actaully never made the mistake it was a well planed move, to label Pahul as amrit & devalue it. When they have 36 amirts what can harm can a 37th do. The Pahul was received by giving up the head, new we give amrit by enticing. "Take this and became amritdhari, get free kirapns, get free kacheras." Now all of this goes on, sInce we made the blunder of calling Pahul amrit. Amrit in this maya form became the 37th. That which was '1' and only one, is now 367th though cunning trickery.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ 'ਇੱਕੋ' ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਬਾਮ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ 36 ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੀ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । 'ਆਤਮਾ' ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ 'ਇੱਕੋ' ਹੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹੈ 'ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ' । ਉਹ ਖਾਧਾ ਵੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਤਾ ਵੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ "ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਗੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸੇਇ ਖਾਹਿ ॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 962}", ਉਹ ਪਿਆਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਖਾਧਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੁੱਖ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੀਤਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਖਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ । ਆਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਨ ਇਹ 36 ਹਨ । ਜਦੋਂ 'ਪਾਹੁਲ' ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਏਹੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ । ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਅਸਲ 'ਚ ਗਲਤੀ ਜਾਣ-ਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ ਸਾਥੋਂ, ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ 'ਪਾਹੁਲ' ਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਕੌਡੀਓਂ ਖੋਟੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਈਏ, 36 ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ already(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ) ਹਨ, 37ਵਾਂ ਨੰਬਰ ਹੋਜੂਗਾ । 'ਪਾਹੁਲ' ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਹੁਣ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਬਈ ! ਆਹ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈ ਲੋ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਛਕ ਲਉ, ਕਿਰਪਾਨਾਂ free(ਮੁਫਤ), ਕਛਹਿਰੇ free(ਮੁਫਤ), ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਕੁਛ ਚੱਲਦੈ । ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜੋ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ 'ਪਾਹੁਲ' ਨੂੰ , ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, 37ਵੇਂ ਨੰਬਰ 'ਤੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ । '1 ਨੰਬਰ' ਦੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ 37ਵੇਂ ਨੰਬਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ।
