Ramsethu

Bhagat Namdev ji, 600years ago, had a solution to the Ramsetu controversy. He said,
" I have heard that God's name makes even stones float. (but are those real stones? Or are they metaphorical references for our low down & dirty characters. He makes them float above the scum-ocean of our virtue-less lives.)
So oh lord why shouldn't Your humble students also float across, remembering You, O Lord? ||1||Pause||
You saved the prostitute (by changing her nature), and the ugly hunch-back; You helped the Dacoit and Ajaamal swim across as well(by changing their mind).
The hunter who shot Krishna in the foot - even he was liberated.
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those who remember you, learn your teachings. ||1||
Your teachings saved Bidur, the son of the slave-girl, and Sudama; You restored Ugrasain to his throne.
Without meditation, without penance, without a good family, without great donations, Naam Dayv's Lord and Master saved them all. ||2||1||"

I have to say that this is a genuine attempt to do things differently, in a nice way. I am pretty sure that this style of singing Bani will definitely bring youth closer to our Shabad Guru, especially in this part of the world. Hope these Guru's Sikhs can come up with a CD so that Shabads sung by them could be heard in all the corners of the world. Two thumbs up.

Well taking a cue from them I also did some stuff on my guitar which is my newest hobby. Have they sung other shabads too? Would like to listen to them too.
Anyways I have sung the gurumantra and a shabad 'ja ke vas hain khan sultan' which is available at the link below.
